Greg Heffley is the main character in this fiction journal/story/diary. Greg is a typical kid who writes in his journal to tell the events in his life. He is now entering middle school and finds out it really hard to survive in middle school! Greg lists some crazy things in his life in the journal. Things in Greg’s life just don’t turn out right! The book is hilarious and odd in some kind of way that attracts readers. This book is super funny and abstract and also is a very good book! Great job Jeff Kinney for an awesome series of books!

The Supernaturalist, Eoin Colfer
Satellite City was supposed to be the city of the future and was the worst place in the world! Orphans are sent to awful orphanages and are experimented on and the only way to get out is by adoption, escape, or death.
Cosmo Hill was one of those kids who escaped with his friend and then started to see blue ghost-like figures. His friend, Ziplock, dies in the escape. Then Cosmo joins a group called the Supernaturalists who have the ability to see supernatural figures. In the group are Stefan, Mona, Ditto, and Cosmo. Together they attempt to destroy the Blue Parasites because of the theory they suck life if people are injured.
Later they killed (or so they believed they did) a lot of Parasites. Then Ditto recognizes they don’t suck life, they suck pain. It was true and also they figured they didn’t kill but help multiply them. But evil Ellen Faustino traps all of the Parasites that help humans and the Supernaturalists. Could they break out or will time run out? Could Cosmo, Mona, Ditto, and Stefan help safe Mother Nature of destroy it?
I thought this book was really intense and fun to read!
